Monte Rosa Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotech company pioneering the next frontier in targeted protein degradation. Their proprietary QuEEN™ discovery engine is designed to precisely eliminate disease-causing proteins that were previously considered “undruggable,” opening new possibilities for patients with cancer and other serious diseases.
As part of a larger rebrand led by the team at Pinkergreen, we were brought in to develop a 3D motion identity that could bring Monte Rosa’s science to life in a way that felt both elevated and deeply aligned with their new visual system.
We were tasked with developing a 3D motion identity that visually communicates the complexity and elegance of Monte Rosa’s molecular work—while staying true to the refined visual world established by Pinkergreen.
We set out to create a library of animated molecular behaviors, visual motifs, and design standards that define how Monte Rosa represents its science in motion. Special attention was given to the QuEEN™ platform, which required a distinct visual approach to illustrate its unique capabilities in molecular design and protein targeting.
Working in close collaboration with Pinkergreen, we created a comprehensive motion language centered on Monte Rosa’s unique approach to molecular design and their QuEEN™ drug discovery platform. From visualizing the behavior of complex molecular interactions to establishing standards for movement, lighting, and materiality, our goal was to ensure consistency across all animated touchpoints—internal, external, scientific, and investor-facing.
The result is a motion identity that reflects the sophistication of Monte Rosa’s science while giving their brand a dynamic, dimensional voice.
