When AxoSim decided it was time for a bold leap forward, they knew a simple facelift wouldn’t cut it. They needed a completely new identity that fully captures the scientific impact enabled by their technology. Enter 28bio, a ground-up reimagining of the company embodied by the team's pioneering spirit, and the beginning of new chapter for neurotech.
Our journey began with a deep dive into the heart of the company. We held collaborative workshops with leadership to excavate what made AxoSim tick—and what the new 28bio needed to embody. The result was a brand strategy that centered on intelligence, scale, and humanity, all underpinned by a sense of futuristic optimism. From there, we developed a visual identity system: a modern, approachable wordmark, a minimal color palette that balanced scientific rigor with accessibility, and a suite of graphic motifs inspired by neural networks and organic forms.
Rebranding from AxoSim to 28bio meant striking the right balance: our goal was to create a fresh, future-facing identity without losing the credibility AxoSim had built over years in the neurotechnology space. A primary challenge was distilling complex science into a brand that’s approachable, authoritative, and never cliché, while making sure our new approach spoke clearly to everyone from seasoned researchers to curious investors.
Our solution? Listen first, design second. We gathered insights from every corner of the company, then built a brand that’s equal parts precision and personality. Using Webflow, we crafted a site that’s flexible, clear, and engaging, ensuring 28bio’s big ideas are easy to grasp and hard to forget.
